Heavy Metal System (HMS)
Bit Protector: This is the heart of the HMS beyblades as it holds the entire blade together unlike the plastic models. There are two molds of bit protector. Mould one is the first kind of bit protector and comes with all blade up to the Advance series Beyblades. The second mould is much tighter and is a favourite amongst serious bladers as they keep your blade together better, these bit protectors come with all blades after the Advance series.
Attack ring: This is a key part to any beyblade as it provides the blade with its attack strength and attack type. However, the HMS series Beyblades come with metal attacks rings rather than plastic (hence the name Hevay Metal). So in theory they create more intense and exciting battles due to the high attack power and strength. There are many kinds of attack rings ranging from upper and lower attack to smash and spike attack.
The upper attack style, my personal favourite, provides your blade with a scoop to lift your opponents blade off the stadium floor, whereas lower has the opposite affect. Lower attack pushes your opponents blade down towards the floor making the attack ring scratch on the surface, loosing spin in the process. For more information on attack types look under the blade types category on the Game page.
Weight disks and Custom Weight Disks (CWD): These weight are similar to the plastic series apart from they are all round and can only fit on the HMS blades. There are 4 types of weight disks, they are:
- Circle Heavy: This is the heaviest of all HMS weight disks and specialize in smash attack and defence combos.
- Circle Wide: These are the lightest weight disks and have very good endurance and allow your blade to have a high mobility factor.
- Circle Balance: This weight disk is balanced in all areas and are best to use for combination type blades that are all round fighters.
- Custom Weight Disk (CWD): These come with the gimmick specialty blades. These weight disks allow you to add different types of special attack rings, very much like the sub attack ring blades.
Running Cores (RC): This is the HMS name for a spin gear, there are many types available (plastic, rubber and metal). There is a spin gear called bearing core 2 which is the same a wolborg's but it comes as an RC. These RC's are good for HMS Zombies. |
